From A. niger. High purity. For use in Megazyme Total Starch and Dietary Fibre methods. Electrophoretically homogeneous. Stabilised liquid in 50% glycerol.
Specific activity: approx. 36 U/mg (40°C, pH 4.5, soluble starch as substrate). 200 U/ml on p-nitrophenyl ß-maltoside; 3260 U/ml on soluble starch.
Contaminants: α-amylase 4%, cellulase < 0.005%.
Stable at 4°C for > 4 years.
